Provincial Veterinary Training Center Inaugurated

The first Provincial Veterinary Training Center was inaugurated last December 7, 2011 at Barangay La Granja, La Carlota City. The occasion was led by Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr., Vice Governor Genaro M. Alvarez, Jr. Sangguniang Panlalawigan members Mae C. Javellana, Jose Benito A. Alonso, and City Mayor Juliet Marie D. Ferrer.

The project is in line with the Negros First thrust of Governor Marañon as he foresees the province's potentials in the livestock industry. The newly constructed building will serve as training venue for live-in and hands-on seminars, researches, and technology transfer for para-veterinarians throughout the province.

Mayor Juliet Marie D. Ferrer thanked Governor Marañon for highlighting this program with La Carlota City as the primary site.
