Large Crowd Watched
Pacquiao-Marquez Trilogy Match
An estimated crowd of 3,000 people more or less flocked at the city public plaza on November 13, 2011 to watch the Pacquiao-Marquez fight on the newly-installed LED wide-screen TV. Facilitated by Cong. Jeffrey P. Ferrer and Mayor Juliet Marie D. Ferrer, the event was the first of its kind that drew boxing fans from all over the city and neighboring areas.
The people started to come as early as 8:30 in the morning. Traffic congestion on the streets beside the plaza took place as the main road was filled with tricycles, motorcycles, and service vehicles of the viewers. Elsewhere, the roads were almost clear of vehicles as motorists stopped plying their routes and congregated in the public plaza.
