The City of La Carlota was recently awarded the Seal of Good Housekeeping for Good Governance by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in cognizance of its efforts in enhancing the principles of accountability and transparency in local governance.
Mayor Juliet Marie D. Ferrer received the plaque in behalf of the local government unit.
The city garnered the award after evaluation of its performance in the following areas: (1) Good planning, (2) Sound fiscal management, (3) Transparency and accountability, and (4) valuing of performance monitoring.
