LGU Employees Attend Seminar

LGU employees listen to a lecture during their two-day Seminar at
Guintubdan Pavilion.

          A two day seminar-workshop for the new entrants and newly-appointed employees of the city government was held on March 17, 18, 2010 at Guintubdan pavilion, Brgy. Ara-al with a total of 70 participants.  The events was conducted by the Human Resource and Management Office headed by HRMO-OIC Rommel C. Tam who welcomed the delegates.

            Mayor Demie John C. Honrado was the inspirational speaker.  He encouraged the participants to be effective on their respective functions “Bisan diin ka lang ibutang kon willing ka magserbisyo himuon mo gid and obra nga ginahatag sa imo.  Halungan gid ninyo ang posisyon nga ginbilin ko sa inyo” advised to them.

            Resource speaker was Phillip Bernard H. Capadosa, Special Investigator II, CSC Field Office, Negros Occidental.  He lectured and discussed topics on employees discipline and the omnibus rules on leave.  The endeavor aimed to equip the employees with knowledge on the norms of conduct set for public employee in accordance with the provisions of R.A. 6713, relate themselves to their work in line with the mission and vision of their respective offices, identify the 5’s of professionalism, use of acquired knowledge in raising their level of duty awareness and responsibilities as public trustees, and to know their privilege and benefits as government worker.

            Other HRMO staff personnel facilitated the seminar were Ma. Elena L. Roma, Merlie Brioness, Helen Barrato, Mietos Yanson, Gilberto Burgos and Mark Anthony Paglumotan.---RCV
