LCCCFEA Officers Inducted

           Atty. Juliet Marie D. Ferrer, wife of 4th District Cong. Jeffrey P. Ferrer, the current vice-president, legal and corporate affairs of RSB Goup of Companies was the special guest and inducting officer during the oathtaking ceremony of the newly-elected officers of La Carlota City College Faculty and Employees Association last January 29, 2010.  She was accompanied by Mayor Demie John C. Honrado who also gave an inspirational message.  The guests and visitors were welcomed by college president Dr. Fatima G. Bullos.

            Atty. Ferrer challenged the officers to be strong and steadfast in their difficult tasks ahead.  Mayor Honrado, on the other hand, encouraged the association officers to be transparent in their transactions.

            The LCCCFEA is chaired by Joyce C. Decendario.  Dr. Luciano T. Magallanes gave the closing remarks.  Also present were City Admin. Jerico D. Jalandoni, Homer Q. Bermudo, Rommel C. Tam and Ismael A. Salvacion.

            Meanwhile, the La Carlota Trisikad Drivers Association also held its 1st annual general assembly last February 1, 2010 at the La Carlota Multi-Purpose Gym.  The inspirational speakers were Mayor Demie John C. Honrado and Atty. Juliet Marie D. Ferrer.  The LCTDA is currently composed of 150 members from all over the city.

            Atty. Ferrer complimented the officers and members of the association and assured them of her support to their endeavors.

            Mayor Honrado recalled the history of the association when it was organized.  Among the support he extended to trisikad drivers were financial assistance, and Philhealth enrolment.  Out of 150 members, 134 of them already availed of the Philhealth sa Masa program.  He also facilitated the P50,000 accident insurance through the local Philippine National Bank Manager Mandy Famoso who oriented them on procedures to avail of the coverage benefits.

            The affair was highlighted by the turn-over of 10 units trisikads to the beneficiaries through a raffle officiated by Atty. Ferrer, Mayor Honrado, Board Members Jose Benito A. Alonso and Mae C. Javellana, Vice Mayor David T. Baga, Jr. and Eng’r. Norberto Baculna.
