New Singing Sensation

           Jude Matthew T. Servilla, a 13 year-old first year student of the Doña Hortencia Salas Benedicto National High School is the new signing star in town.  Last October 3, 2009 he was voted by viewers of the popular TV Show-Eat Bulaga Birit Baby grand champion garnering some 70,000 text votes from all over the country.  He romped away with the grand prize of P200,000  and a contract to feature regularly in the afternoon program.

            His career began early at the age of five when his parents let him join amateur singing contests.  He won many of them, culminating in 2008 when he participated in the “Awit-Sayaw” competition, a cultural show sponsored by the city government aimed to discover and develop talents of gifted young people.  He ranked third in the grand finals.

            Presently, he is featured in his own segment in Eat Bulaga every Monday and Wednesday entitled “Song from the Heart” wherein he interprets the songs requested by fans from all over the country and elsewhere.
