Manual on ARTA Issued by LGU
 
 

           A guidebook on city government key services called the Citizen’s Charter was formally presented to Civil Service Director Fernando O. Mendoza by Mayor Demie John C. Honrado in a fitting ceremony held September 28, 2009 at his office.  It was attended by members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, school principals and teachers, LGU employees and barangay officials.

            The unveiling of the manual was done by the mayor assisted by City Admin. Jerico D. Jalandoni, and HRMO Rommel C. Tam.

           
            The Citizen’s Charter Manual is a product of the coordinated efforts of the various department heads and technical research personnel, and primarily by the 12-member working committee of the Anti-Red-Tape Act (ARTA), or Republic Act 9485.  The manual is in book form containing 182 pages.  It enumerates and specifies the services offered by individual offices, what it is all about, including the estimated time required to process the transactions.  This is the roadmap to local government services available and the potential efficiency of every department to dispense them at a faster timetable.---CVL
